Summary

Archer is hiring a rotor control systems design engineer to own rotor and control system component/subsystem design for an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The role includes creating 3d models and 2d drawings, performing tolerance stack-ups and load/motion studies, and releasing documentation through plm and configuration management tools. Travel up to 10% to archer and supplier facilities is required.

Responsibilities

• Own design of rotor and control components
• Create 3d models for metallic and composite structures
• Create 2d drawings with gd&t for manufacturing
• Perform tolerance stack-ups for fit and performance
• Run load calculations and motion studies on swashplate
• Generate and verify bill of materials
• Release drawings and documentation via configuration management
