This senior operations manager will run shifts at Relay’s Nottingham sort centre, leading 50–100+ operatives through high-volume parcel sortation. The role is fully site-based and combines frontline people management with workforce planning, operational controls, safety compliance, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts through high-volume parcel sortation
• Deploy people to meet shift plans
• Manage and develop frontline operatives
• Monitor throughput, quality, and safety standards
• Plan labour, training, and operational risks
• Own shift handovers and incident escalations
