This remote engineering manager role leads a small engineering squad supporting UW’s partner proposition. The role combines technical decision-making, delivery planning, coaching and performance management, operational excellence, and oversight of team expenditures.

Responsibilities

• Make technical decisions for the squad
• Set team goals and prioritise work
• Ensure security and operational SLO practices
• Coordinate organisation-wide on-call coverage
• Co-lead annual and quarterly squad planning
• Onboard, coach, and develop engineering reports
• Manage squad expenditures within budgets
