Summary

Archer is hiring a blade design engineer to lead the design of an all-composite rotor blade for an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. You will create 3d models, generate laminate definitions, produce 2d drawings with gd&t, run tolerance stack-ups, and manage releases through plm/configuration management tools. The role requires travel up to 10% to archer or supplier facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of a new composite rotor blade
• Create 3d models of composite parts
• Generate laminate definitions for composite components
• Create 2d drawings with gd&t for manufacturing
• Perform tolerance stack-ups for fit and performance
• Generate and verify bill of materials accuracy
• Release drawings and documentation through configuration management
